CE-UY 3153 Geotechnical Engineering3 Credits This course is an introduction to soil mechanics and foundation engineering. Topics include origin of soils, phase relationships, classification of soils, permeability, effective stress, seepage, consolidation, shear strength, analysis of lateral earth pressure, and soil bearing capacity.
