CAM-UY 2014W STEM & Theater4 Credits This course investigates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) as they are portrayed in the theater. Concepts such as scientific creativity and discovery; the relations among science, technology, religion, and the state; the social and ethical interactions between individual scientists and engineers that constitute the practices of science and engineering; and the role of mathematics as the language of science and engineering, will be considered from the points of view of various playwrights. STEM is a springboard to discuss moral or political issues and biographical concerns.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of EXPOS-UA 1 or EXPOS-UA 4 Note: Satisfies a HuSS elective
