CM 9443 Tissue Engineering3 Credits This course teaches: (1) basic biological processes that occur during blood contact with artificial surfaces, (2) critical review of the literature in the field of tissue engineering, (3) biocompatibility issues relevant to a variety of implant devices that the student may encounter in future endeavors and (4) current approaches directed toward the engineering of cell-based replacements for various tissue types.
